Preparing your Apple (iOS) device before selling
CREATE A BACKUP
We strongly recommend that you backup your device’s data (including settings, messages, apps, photo’s etc). This is important to ensure that you do not lose any of it before erasing it prior to sending it in. Apple provides some instructions on how to do this using iCloud or by backing up to a computer.
SIGN OUT OF APPLE ID / SERVICES & ERASE YOUR DATA
It’s very important that you sign out of your Apple ID, iCloud and other services before you send us your Apple device. Erasing or resetting the device will not automatically sign you out, and we won’t be able to complete the payment unless this has been done. Luckily, the process is simple to do and has been detailed in a guide provided by Apple Support.

Do this for the Google account, as well as any other brand-specific accounts.

Locate factory reset (or similar, depending on device).
Follow the factory reset steps to erase all data and reset the device.
